St Mel’s Brewing Company
St Mel’s Brewing Company is a privately owned independent Irish brewery, whose mission is to brew the highest quality, handcrafted, lagers & ales from the best possible ingredients available, combining innovation, passion, and tradition. All our beers are made from 100% natural ingredients, water, malted barley, hops and yeast, making them entirely chemical free, and are preserved by the natural qualities of the hops and alcohol. As well as the production of simple but high quality beers, we will occasionally produce seasonal beers of an extraordinary nature.
In March 2018, after a collaboration with the Wisconsin Brewing Co and One Barrel Brewing Co in the USA, St Mel’s launched ‘John Casey’s Irish Red’. This collaboration was brought about by Aughnacliffe native John Campbell, son of Sean and Margo Campbell, owners of Campbell’s Butchers Shop in Aughnacliffe, who is Vice-President of Imports, Crafts and Specialty Brands at Wisconsin Distributers in America. Wisconsin Distributors supplies over 5,000 bars, restaurants and off-licences within the state of Wisconsin.
Liam Hanlon was previously employed at Ireland’s largest craft brewery where he developed some of the countries craftiest beers. Eoin Tynan is new to the industry and comes from the international investment industry with a masters in business management and a love of quality craft beer.
